Data Capturer Contract at IEC South Africa

The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) invites qualified and dedicated candidates to apply for the position of Data Capturer of Special Vote Applications based at the Dobsonville Municipal Office in Gauteng. In preparation for the 2026 Local Government Elections, the successful candidate will play an essential role within the Electoral Matters division, ensuring that all special vote applications are accurately captured and processed onto the customized election database. Key Responsibilities

• Capture incoming special vote application forms accurately into the customized IEC database management system.

• Verify voter registration details against national population records to confirm eligibility.

• Identify and flag incomplete, duplicate, or irregular application forms for supervisory review.

• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all processed special vote documentation.

• Ensure strict confidentiality and security of voter data in line with commission policies and POPIA regulations.

• Perform daily data reconciliation and generate operational summary reports for election project coordinators.
