National Prosecuting Authority (NPA): Control Room Operator
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is offering an exciting entry-level opportunity for unemployed youth to join their team as a Control Room Operator. Key Responsibilities
Operate control room security and emergency systems to ensure the safety of the premises.
Monitor and safeguard the premises through the CCTV system by controlling cameras.
Identify and meticulously record all suspicious incidents observed.
Maintain the safekeeping of recorded information, back-up footage, and access control records.
Compile comprehensive incident reports.
Ensure the proper and efficient use of all control room systems.
Identify and promptly report any faults or malfunctioning of the system.
Monitor all scheduled and repair maintenance to ensure the effective working of all systems and equipment.
Implement and manage access control and key control for NPA building facilities, conducting key audits as required.
Ensure strict access control for the control room itself.
Control the entry and exit of personnel into and from the control room.
Ensure all relevant control room registers are accurately completed.
Respond effectively to security emergencies.
Activate emergency systems and immediately report all incidents.
Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Demonstrable competency in acting Independently, Professionally, Accountable and with Credibility.
Registration with the Private Security Regulation Authority (PSIRA) Grade C.
Reliable, tolerant and determined.
Able to act independently.
High level of integrity.
Willing to work shifts, after hours and over weekends.
Good report writing skills and able to work under pressure.
General computer literacy and knowledge of programs in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
Knowledge of security management in public sector administration (MISS & MPSS documents).
A valid driver’s license.
