Pick n Pay is offering an exciting FreshRize Bakery Skills Programme Learnership, designed for enthusiastic and passionate individuals eager to kickstart their career in the baking and retail food industry. Key Responsibilities
- Attend and successfully complete all online learning modules and assessments as required by the programme.
- Actively participate in 2 days of online learning and 3 days of practical in-store training each week.
- Assist with various aspects of bakery production and food preparation under the direct guidance of experienced bakery teams.
- Prepare, package, and present a wide range of bakery products, ensuring adherence to Pick n Pay’s stringent quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of food safety, hygiene, and general housekeeping within the bakery department.
- Deliver excellent customer service, engaging positively with customers and assisting with their queries and needs.
- Support merchandising efforts and stock replenishment within the bakery department to ensure product availability and attractive displays.
- Strictly follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively as an integral part of both the bakery and the wider store team, fostering a spirit of teamwork.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a consistently positive attitude throughout the duration of the programme.
