Job Description
The Department of Transport invites ambitious and qualified TVET graduates to apply for the prestigious 2026/2027 Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme based in Pretoria, Gauteng. Key Responsibilities
Perform routine administrative, records management, and clerical tasks supporting departmental operations.
Assist in the drafting of memorandums, official letters, meeting minutes, and operational reports.
Manage filing systems, register incoming and outgoing documentation, and maintain database accuracy.
Handle general internal and public inquiries professionally across phone and email channels.
Support specialized business units such as Human Resources, Financial Administration, Legal Services, and Maritime Transport.
Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver on core departmental mandates and strategic targets.

Requirements
Must be an unemployed South African citizen.
Must never have participated in any previous developmental or internship programme.
Must possess an N6 Certificate / TVET qualification in one of the following relevant fields:
Office Administration, Public Management, Administration, Public Administration, or Business Management (Ref: DOT/WIL/2026/1 & DOT/WIL/2026/6)
Human Resource Management or Personnel Management (Ref: DOT/WIL/2026/2)
Legal Services or Legal Practice (Ref: DOT/WIL/2026/3)
Financial Management or Financial Administration (Ref: DOT/WIL/2026/4 & DOT/WIL/2026/5)
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
High level of integrity, dedication, and eagerness to learn.
