Job Description
The Trust Administrator plays a crucial role within FNB's Global Fiduciary team, providing specialist advice and comprehensive administrative support across the full spectrum of trust and asset management (TAMS) processes, particularly for offshore jurisdictions. This position is integral to ensuring the efficient and compliant management of trusts, fostering strong relationships with offshore trustees, and delivering exceptional client service. The successful candidate will navigate complex international trust legislation and regulatory requirements, contributing to the bank's commitment to robust governance and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Attend to all trust administration tasks on behalf of trustees in various offshore jurisdictions.
- Cultivate and manage professional relationships with offshore trustees, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Deliver exceptional service that consistently exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions tailored to their unique needs.
- Provide essential administration, compliance review, and operational support to trustees, enabling them to effectively manage trusts in foreign jurisdictions.
- Accurately manage and maintain client records and critical trust documents, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare trustee resolutions, minutes, and other trust-related documents precisely as instructed by the trustee.
- Co-ordinate trust-related distributions, loan repayments, fees, and similar financial transactions according to trustee instructions.
- Assist with preparing and collating documents and information required for the opening, maintenance, and review of trust bank accounts and investment accounts, as per trustee directives.
- Support compliance with relevant foreign trust legislation, regulatory requirements, and fiduciary obligations to mitigate risks.
- Assist with client due diligence processes and ongoing monitoring requirements in line with stringent Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards.
- Monitor and track statutory filing deadlines and reporting obligations within the foreign jurisdiction to ensure timely submissions.
- Liaise effectively with compliance teams, external fiduciary service providers, and other relevant parties as required to facilitate smooth operations.
- Assist with gathering necessary information and documents for regulatory, legislative, and internal requirements.
- Prepare correspondence for review by the trustee, ensuring accuracy and professional tone.
- Support the trustee in maintaining proper governance, meticulous record-keeping, and audit readiness.
- Identify and promptly escalate any administrative, compliance, or operational risks to the trustee for immediate attention.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, procedures, and established service level standards.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of relevant offshore jurisdiction trust legislation, particularly concerning trust administration and compliance.
