Key Responsibilities

The successful Receiving Intern will assist the inventory and operations division with day-to-day warehouse receiving tasks, documentation, and quality control:

• Delivery Inspection & Verification: Accurately compare incoming physical deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, supplier invoices, and packaging lists to verify item counts and product specifications.

• Inventory Offloading & Storage: Coordinate the safe unloading of stock from delivery trucks and ensure all accepted items are systematically labelled, sorted, and transferred to designated warehouse bin locations.

• Quality Control & NCR Process: Inspect received goods for physical defects, transit damages, or incorrect specifications. Promptly initiate the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, liaising with suppliers and logistics providers for returns or replacements.

• System & Stock Administration: Update company inventory management software with freshly received stock items, ensuring real-time data integrity.

• Reporting & GRN Generation: Generate and distribute daily Goods Received Note (GRN) reports to internal stakeholders, procurement specialists, and the finance team.

• Departmental Communication: Maintain active communication channels with procurement and warehouse supervisors regarding delayed shipments, short supplies, or supplier discrepancies.

• Record Keeping: Securely maintain organized digital and physical documentation for all supplier orders, proof of delivery receipts, and returned goods.

• Must possess a completed Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential).
