Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages, adhering to strict safety and hygiene protocols.
• Prepare and label blood samples accurately for laboratory testing, ensuring sample integrity.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including sterilisation of equipment.
• Interact with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding of procedures.
• Accurately record patient information and test details, maintaining confidentiality.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to sample processing and patient records.
• Participate actively in all theoretical and practical training modules.

• NSC Grade 12 pass with Life Science / Biology: 50% or higher OR HBM: 60% or higher.
• Mathematics: 40% or higher OR Mathematical Literacy: 60% or higher.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to read, write and understand basic Afrikaans.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
