About the Opportunity
MAHLE is a leading international development partner and systems supplier to the automotive industry. They are currently offering an exciting 12-month development programme within their Human Resources Department in Durban.
This Graduate in Training (GiT) programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and the practical working environment. It offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment, making it the perfect stepping stone for an aspiring HR professional.
Key Responsibilities
As an HR Graduate in Training, you will rotate through or assist with various core HR functions, including:
Recruitment & Selection: Assisting with job postings, screening CVs, and coordinating interviews.
Onboarding & Induction: Helping to integrate new employees into the company.
HR Administration: Maintaining accurate employee records, filing, and updating the HR information system (HRIS).
Training & Development: Assisting with the coordination of skills development programs, learnerships, and training records.
Employee Relations: Gaining exposure to grievance procedures, disciplinary hearings, and union engagements under the guidance of senior HR personnel.
Time & Attendance: Supporting payroll inputs and leave tracking

Requirements
To qualify for this graduate programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education: A completed Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a closely related field.
Experience: 0 - 1 year of experience (Must be a recent graduate needing practical experience).
Citizenship: Must be a South African Citizen.
Skills & Attributes:
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy (Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
