Employment Relations Internship at Old Mutual
Job Description
Old Mutual is offering a valuable Employment Relations Internship opportunity for recent graduates in Human Resources or Law. This internship provides exposure to the core functions of the Employment Relations Practice within the Group Human Capital space. The practice is dedicated to offering specialist employee relations support, equipping line managers and Human Capital management with the tools to effectively engage with employees in line with labour legislation. Interns will gain practical experience in risk management, technical training, and fostering sound employee relations, particularly with trade unions and employees. This is an excellent entry point for ambitious individuals looking to build a career in HR or Law within a reputable financial services group.
Key Responsibilities
Administering Employment Relations (ER) and Employment Equity (EE) functions.
Managing the ER calendar for engagement forums.
Providing secretariat and logistical support for engagement forums.
Communicating effectively with trade unions and internal stakeholders.
Assisting legal advisors with case management.
Supporting training initiatives within the ER department.
Providing assistance with Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) matters.
Supporting the ER team with ad hoc requests and projects.
