Job Description
requirements • Picking, packing, labelling, and checking medications accurately • Managing stock control, including expiry dates and shelf organisation • Following up with patients on prescription tracking and appointments • Assisting with call centre scripts, patient service queries, and medical scheme authorisations (chronic, HIV & AIDS, oncology) • Providing health information to customers • Reporting stock shortages or errors and receiving stock in line with company procedures Competencies Required Essential Skills: • Fluency in English and at least one additional language (reading, writing, speaking) • Strong time management, accuracy, and attention to detail • Good communication, customer service, and teamwork skills • Problem-solving ability, accountability, honesty, and professional conduct • Computer literacy and numerical skills Advantageous Skills: • Previous retail or FMCG experience, especially within Dis-Chem • Knowledge of complementary medicines, family planning, and pharmacy systems (Unisolv, SAP, E-Scripting) Special Conditions of Employment • Must pass a proficiency test to register with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) • Must be a South African citizen • Clear criminal and credit record (MIE checks will apply) Remuneration and Benefits The programme offers a market-related salary and the chance to gain workplace experience that can lead to a recognised pharmacy qualification and career growth in the healthcare sector.
