Job Description

This 12-month Claims and Underwriting Administrative Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience within the dynamic Life & Health (L&H) division. You will support a dedicated and collaborative team responsible for managing and processing L&H claims and underwriting cases, ensuring clients receive exceptional service. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and proactive individual eager to learn, contribute, and develop a strong foundation in the reinsurance industry. You will be exposed to a wide array of tasks, enhancing your analytical, administrative, and interpersonal skills in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data capturing and case induction, adhering to internal standards and compliance requirements.
Liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth processes and deliver responsive, high-quality client service.
Manage underwriting and claims case allocation, tracking, and reporting to optimize workflow efficiency within the team.
Uphold set standards and targets, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Administer Life Guide and Claims Guide role allocations and password management to ensure seamless system access for team members.
Perform SharePoint updates and UCR administration duties to maintain accurate records and systems.
Assist in the preparation of presentations, client resource materials, and handouts to support client engagement and internal communications.
Coordinate seminars and events, contributing to the planning and execution of team and client-facing activities.
Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to supporting team needs.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Up to one year of working experience in a relevant field.
Ability to interpret, organise, and analyse data accurately, with a keen eye for detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to produce professional documents, data tracking spreadsheets, and compelling presentations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse teams and clients.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Exposure to or interest in Life & Health insurance or reinsurance concepts (preferred).
Experience with event coordination or administrative support in a professional setting (preferred).
