The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) is seeking to employ unemployed youth for the position of Civic Services Officer across various locations in South Africa. Key Responsibilities
Supervise the effective daily operations of civic services offices.
Ensure effective service delivery and assist staff where service standards are not met.
Produce quality reports regarding turnaround times, documents processed, and error rates.
Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the quality of service delivery.
Ensure the safekeeping of records and documentation according to DHA requirements.
Allocate work to staff members and monitor their progress against daily targets.
Perform end-of-day duties for effective reporting and performance statistics.
Identify operational challenges and suggest improvements to superiors.
Implement corrective actions based on identified trends.
Perform overriding functions on the system as required.
Ensure full implementation of all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Supervise the application of ID smart cards, Birth, Marriage, and Death registrations, late registrations, amendments, and the issuance of travel and citizenship documents.
Ensure effective and efficient management of human, physical, and financial resources within the Unit.

Requirements
An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6 or higher) in Public Management, Public Administration, Operations, Business Management, Management, Administration, Law, or Social Science.
1 Year experience in Operations, client or customer services environment.
Knowledge of front office operations.
Extensive knowledge of 41 various filing systems.
Knowledge of fingerprint verification.
Knowledge and Understanding of Civic Services Regulatory Framework.
Knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework.
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management process and procedures.
A valid Driver's License.
Willingness to travel and work extended hours.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends on request.
