Barloworld Equipment is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Management Accountant to join its dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the comprehensive preparation of the year-end reporting pack, which includes, but is not limited to, interim reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed asset management, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews and authorise bank payments, maintaining strict adherence to financial policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Provide essential support to users regarding HFM/OneStream systems, assisting with data integrity, report generation, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Critically review monthly management accounts submitted by various operations, identifying discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement to enhance financial performance insights.
- Prepare detailed audit papers, board papers, and audit committee papers, ensuring all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and ready for review by internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with diverse reporting requirements for both South African and Greater African regions, ensuring all statutory and internal reporting deadlines are met efficiently.
- Execute and prepare impairment calculations in accordance with accounting standards, providing accurate assessments of asset values.
- Supervise and mentor the internal accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance.
- Act as a key liaison with both Internal and External auditors, facilitating audit processes, responding to queries, and ensuring all audit requirements are satisfied.
- Provide valuable assistance with financial analysis for various operations and support functions, offering insights that drive informed business decisions.
- Engage in ad hoc reporting and special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to evolving business needs.
