Boilermaker Aide Opportunity at Dwarsriviermine

Dwarsriviermine, a leading chrome ore producer in Limpopo, is seeking a dedicated Boilermaker Aide to join its Engineering South team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Boilermaker or direct supervisor in executing maintenance, modifications, and repairs on various mining equipment, ensuring all tasks adhere to established safety protocols and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and in safe working condition after use.
• Actively participate in risk assessments for all tasks performed, and diligently follow lock-out procedures when required to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform essential tasks such as welding, cutting, grinding, and material drilling under supervision, contributing to the timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Adhere strictly to planned maintenance and production schedules, assisting in breakdown responses to restore equipment availability promptly and minimise operational downtime.
• Operate stationary and mobile engineering equipment, including TMM machines, conveyor belts, pump stations, compressors, and fire suppression systems, as well as various tools like welding machines and angle grinders, always in accordance with SOPs and manufacturer specifications.
• Assist with first-level inspections of mobile engineering equipment to proactively identify potential issues, prevent breakdowns, and ensure the longevity of assets.
• Record and report all equipment defects and statuses to the Foreman, ensuring clear communication and accountability within the maintenance team.
