Key Responsibilities
- Instrumentation Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of various instrumentation devices, including transmitters, sensors, and control loops.
- Control Valve Management: Conduct thorough maintenance and precise calibration of control valves to ensure accurate process control and operational efficiency.
- Transmitter Operations: Calibrate and replace faulty transmitters, ensuring all readings are accurate and reliable for process monitoring.
- Control Systems Expertise (YOKOGAWA, SIEMENS): Actively participate in the maintenance of complex control systems, including conducting detailed fault finding and diagnostics to resolve issues promptly.
- Alarm Management: Implement and manage alarm systems effectively, ensuring timely alerts and appropriate responses to operational deviations.
- Software Engineering & Configuration: Perform basic software engineering and configuration tasks for control systems, contributing to system optimisation.
- DCS Hardware Maintenance: Maintain plant Distributed Control System (DCS) hardware, ensuring its continuous and reliable operation.
- Modbus Fault Finding: Conduct maintenance and fault finding on Modbus communication systems to ensure seamless data exchange.
- Alarm and Trip Testing: Execute comprehensive alarm and trip tests to verify the functionality and reliability of safety-critical systems.
- Plant Emergency Shutdown (ESD) (SIS) (HIMA): Maintain ESD systems and their functions, and clearly outline the purpose and application of cause and effect diagrams for safety protocols.
- Hazardous Area Management: Conduct regular inspections on classified equipment within hazardous areas, meticulously logging any deviations and performing necessary repairs and replacements to ensure compliance and safety.
- Work Management System: Demonstrate a strong understanding and proficient use of the plant's maintenance documentation system and planning work management system.
- SAP Experience: Utilise SAP for maintenance tasks and record-keeping, with prior experience being a distinct advantage.

Requirements
- Matric with Maths and Science or N3 Maths, Science and English
- NQF4 Qualification in Instrumentation
- Valid driver's licence
- Trade Qualification (Red Seal) - Must
- 2+ relevant years of working experience
- Proficiency in TC_Plant Equipment Maintenance
- Strong BC_Customer Focus
- Ability to manage complexity (BC_Manages Complexity)
