Account Manager Intern at Amazon Commercial Services

Amazon Commercial Services (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd is seeking ambitious students to join their team as Account Manager Interns for a 12-month full-time program in 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within various core business areas of Amazon, including Amazon Retail, Amazon Vendor Services, Amazon Merchant Services, Amazon Advertising, Prime Video, Prime Now, and Amazon Fresh. Interns will be matched with a mentor and assigned a high-impact project from day one, fostering professional growth and development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning. This program is designed to provide interns with real-world experience, enabling them to contribute to internal process improvements, tool enhancements, and the overall customer experience while expanding their professional networks and participating in exclusive intern events. Successful interns may be considered for graduate roles upon completion of their university studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Vendor Managers in assisting strategic brands to grow their business on Amazon.

• Analyze category performance and customer behavior to identify trends and insights.

• Identify opportunities to enhance product selection, optimize pricing strategies, and improve product availability.

• Assist with vendor negotiations and contribute to the smooth running of retail operations.

• Work with Account Managers to develop and implement impactful advertising solutions for clients.

• Gain a deep understanding of Amazon’s display advertising products, targeting capabilities, and technical/operational aspects.

• Support campaign planning, conduct data analysis, and contribute to client presentations.

• Provide input for the improvement of advertising products and client outcomes.

• Assist third-party sellers in growing and succeeding on the Amazon platform.

• Identify and engage with high-potential merchants using market data and industry intelligence.

• Analyze seller performance data to understand customer pain points and requirements.

• Propose improvement strategies by leveraging advertising or merchant services to deliver value.

• Learn the intricacies of the advertising or merchant services portfolio and immerse in Amazon's unique culture.

• Collaborate effectively across multiple teams, including category, product, and technical support.

• Gain practical experience using Amazon’s internal tools and systems.

• Contribute to identifying opportunities for improving internal processes, tools, and the overall customer experience.
