You will be responsible for creating an inviting and well-stocked fruit and vegetable section, assisting customers with their selections, and contributing to a positive shopping environment. Key Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner, ensuring optimal presentation and accessibility for customers while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards, including creating attractive displays that highlight freshness and variety, and implementing promotional strategies.
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pricing policies and promotions.
• Regularly check for correct pricing, including label integrity and consistency across all products in the fruit and veg section.
• Perform rigorous quality checks on all produce, rotate stock diligently to ensure maximum freshness, and promptly remove any expired, damaged, or substandard items to maintain high quality and reduce spoilage.
• Actively prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages through careful handling, proper storage techniques, and efficient stock management practices.
• Check and maintain appropriate temperatures for all refrigerated produce, strictly adhering to cold chain protocols to ensure food safety and extend shelf life.
• Adhere to and maintain all security procedures, safeguarding company assets and ensuring a secure shopping environment for both customers and staff.
• Operate and clean equipment (e.g., scales, juicers, display misters) according to laid down standards and hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working area.
• Approach and advise customers on product offerings, including seasonal availability, preparation tips, and nutritional information. Listen attentively to their requests, provide the required product or services, and handle all customer interactions in a courteous and business-like manner, aiming for complete satisfaction.
• Process all customer orders accurately and efficiently, adhering to correct procedures and service standards.
• Actively promote products, highlighting specials, organic options, and new arrivals to enhance the customer's shopping experience and basket value.
