Light Duty Driver Position at Ford Kroonstad

Motus, a leading automotive group, is seeking a dedicated Light Duty Driver to join the team at Ford Kroonstad. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of vehicle logistics and customer service within the dealership. Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of driving duties, vehicle checks, and providing support where needed. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and a valid driver's license to build a career within the automotive industry, gaining experience in vehicle handling, customer interaction, and dealership operations. The position requires a proactive individual who can manage their time effectively and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Check vehicles for defects and ensure that they are locked.
• Check vehicle for damages and general road worthy conditions.
• Report all accidents and traffic offences.
• Do all other reasonable duties required by department.
• Assist with translation of other languages when possible.
• Check all new vehicles for damage, defects, missing tools, spare wheel and report to Manager.
• Check that all vehicles are locked and that the keys are in safe key box or at reception.
• Start vehicles to ensure batteries are not damaged.
• Work overtime when required / Night Shift from 20h00 TO 05h00.
• Give Driver Training to drivers/customers on handover of new vehicles.
• Complete all necessary reports for Driver Training given.
• Move vehicles between dealership/suppliers/customers.

• A minimum of Grade 12
• Must have a valid driver’s Code 10 (C1) license
• A valid PDP
• Must have excellent verbal communication skill.
