The North West Department of Community Safety & Transport Management is offering exciting internship opportunities for the 2026 / 2027 period. Key Responsibilities
Assist in the provision of legal advisory services and support to departmental units.
Contribute to the development and implementation of ICT strategies and support functions.
Support the Supply Chain Management unit in procurement processes, logistics, and financial administration.
Assist in strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation activities across various departments.
Participate in risk assessment, integrity management, and internal control processes.
Support the development and implementation of transport planning and policy initiatives.
Assist in the management and oversight of public transport services and infrastructure.
Contribute to crime prevention initiatives and community safety programs.
Support the monitoring and oversight functions within the department.
Assist in financial management, budgeting, and expenditure control.
Support human resource management functions, including recruitment and employee relations.
Contribute to communication and public relations efforts of the department.
Assist in the management and operations of transport terminals.
Support gender focal point activities and initiatives.

Requirements
Applicants must be South African Citizens, aged between 18 and 35.
Applicants who have previously participated in any government internship programme will not be considered.
Applicants should have completed their studies.
Applicants who have not yet received their qualifications must provide proof of academic transcripts or a letter confirming completion of studies and graduation.
