Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be appointed across different roles with specific operational duties:
Human Resource Clerk: Implement HR administration practices including recruitment, selection, leave, housing, medical, PILIR, service benefits, and performance management enquiries.
Administrative Officer (Performance Information Management): Capture and process performance data from units to prepare provincial monthly and quarterly performance reports.
Records Administrator: Maintain systematic filing operations compliant with the National Archives Act and manage documentation preparation for secure archiving or disposal.
Claims Credit Officer: Monitor benefit disbursements, track and collect outstanding overpayment balances, and maintain debtor records accurately on financial management systems.
Client Service Officer (PES): Facilitate work-seeker registration and employer opportunities on the ESSA system, handle employment counselling referrals, and offer general client administration support.
Labour Inspector: Conduct proactive and blitz compliance inspections, carry out investigations into reported contraventions of labour legislation, and lead public advocacy campaigns.
Administrative Clerk & Senior Administration Clerk (MSS): Provide end-to-end management support services comprising supply chain functions, financial coordination, HR administration, and registry support for labour centres.

Requirements
Grade 12 / Senior Certificate or equivalent (applicable for Clerk, Records, Client Service, and Credit Officer positions).
Accounting or Mathematics as a passed major subject for Claims Credit Officer roles.
3-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/7) in Statistics, Economics, Public Administration, Monitoring & Evaluation for the Administrative Officer post.
3-year tertiary qualification in Labour Relations, BCom Law, or LLB alongside a valid driver’s licence for Inspector positions.
0 to 1 year relevant functional experience depending on the specific job category.
Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and administrative data capture capability.
Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of Batho Pele principles and core South African labour legislation.
