Job Description
The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) is currently inviting applications from ambitious, dedicated, and qualified South African youth to fill several entry-level job opportunities across Pretoria (Gauteng), Mpumalanga, and Limpopo. Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be appointed into various specialised entry-level positions with specific operational duties:
Administration Clerk (EPWP Reporting - Pretoria): Receive and register incoming/outgoing correspondence, assist with petty cash requests and procurement of office stock, maintain the departmental electronic and physical filing systems, manage records, schedule logistics and travel arrangements, and consolidate monthly inventory registers.
Administration Clerk (Travel Administration - Pretoria): Administer fruitless and wasteful expenditure, monitor and log weekly no-shows and late cancellations from travel agencies, reconcile BAS payment advice reports against supplier invoices, verify accommodation and travel payments, and draft consolidated compliance reports.
Security Officer (Mpumalanga & Limpopo): Conduct strict access control to departmental premises, operate and monitor control room surveillance equipment and CCTV systems, perform regular physical building patrols, identify safety and fire hazards, implement emergency procedures, and safeguard state property.
Forestry Service Aid (Mpumalanga & Limpopo): Carry out silviculture tasks in plantations, conduct tree counting and plot marking, assist with harvesting and propagation, execute prescribed burns and combat forest or veld fires, and manage the cutting, drying, and sampling of treated poles.

Requirements
Administration Clerk (EPWP / Travel): Grade 12 Certificate (Post-matric qualification and relevant administrative/travel experience will be an added advantage); Computer literacy in MS Office; Knowledge of public service administrative, financial, BAS/LOGIS, and procurement procedures; Good communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
Security Officer: NQF Level 3 qualification; Valid Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Certificate; Knowledge of access control, CCTV monitoring, emergency procedures, and MISS prescripts; Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Forestry Service Aid: NQF Level 1 or equivalent foundational qualification; Knowledge of planting, silviculture, and veld firefighting; Strong physical discipline, teamwork, listening, and execution skills.
South African Citizenship.
