As an integral member of the frontline retail team, the successful candidate will support customer service at the point of sale, ensuring an outstanding shopping experience while accurately recording customer transactions on the Dis-Chem point-of-sale system with strict adherence to operating procedures and fraud prevention policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service in line with Dis-Chem's five-star communication standards.

• Accurately process all retail transactions, including cash, debit/credit cards, gift cards, vouchers, and loyalty accelerator programmes such as Discovery Health, Medihelp Lifestage, Momentum Multiply, Legacy Lifestyle, ABSA Rewards, and eBucks.

• Maintain cash drawer security, perform cash drops into safes as per standard operating procedures, and balance daily takings.

• Ensure all merchandise, dispensary items, and scripts are accurately scanned and accounted for before leaving the till point.

• Handle customer returns, exchanges, price checks, and line voids strictly in accordance with supervisory authorization.

• Maintain vigilance regarding till point safety, stock loss prevention, and report suspicious activities to store management promptly.
