Job Description
As a Community Advisor for Alternative Channels at FirstRand, you will be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional and efficient customer experience. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively understand customer needs, providing tailored product solutions, and expertly directing customers to the most suitable service channels, including eChannels and self-service platforms. This 12-month hourly rate contract role, based at FNB's Alternative Channel (Pick 'n Pay Initiative), requires a dynamic individual who can ensure all interactions align with established policies, processes, and service standards.
You will play a vital role in connecting with customers, embodying the FNB brand promise of 'how can we help you?' at all times. This involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing positive customer experiences by being helpful and sensitive to transactional needs, and effectively communicating complex processes in a simple, understandable manner. You will also be responsible for educating customers on the correct banking platforms, analysing customer data to recommend integrated financial solutions, and achieving sales results. Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12/ NQF Level 4.
- Preferred Qualification: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related fields recognized by FAIS.
- 1β3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, service delivery, or client support within financial services.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills and an ability to engage diverse customer needs.
- Confidence in guiding customers toward digital and Self-Service solutions.
- Ability to identify sales opportunities and support portfolio growth.
- High levels of accuracy, discipline, and adherence to process.
- Strong organising, planning, and time-management capability.
