Key Responsibilities
Contributes to integrity of the data base: Actively participates in maintaining and verifying the accuracy of technical databases related to metering and measurement systems, ensuring all data is current, reliable, and compliant with Eskom's standards. This involves regular audits, data entry, and reconciliation processes.
Provides technical service: Delivers expert technical support and services for secondary plant equipment, focusing on metering and measurement devices. This includes installation, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
Standardized outputs, Performance enhancement and fault investigations: Implements and adheres to standardized operational procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality outputs. Conducts thorough performance analyses and leads fault investigations on secondary plant equipment, identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
SHEQ Compliance: Ensures strict adherence to all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) regulations and Eskom's internal policies. Promotes a culture of safety and compliance within the team, conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures to maintain a safe working environment.
Training and Emergency Preparedness: Participates in ongoing training and development programs to stay abreast of technological advancements and best practices. Contributes to emergency preparedness plans, ensuring readiness to respond effectively to system anomalies or outages, thereby minimizing downtime and ensuring rapid restoration of services.

Knowledge of the Transmission Network, Plant and equipment.
Skills Requirements:

Proficiency in Computer / operational Technology (OT) skills.
Competence in the usage of Fall arrest equipment.

Excellent interpersonal relations.
Qualification(s): National Diploma / National N Diploma Electrical at NQF level 6 with 240 Credits.
Minimum Related Experience: P1 P2 Technical experience - Grids Business.
