Job Description
An Administrator in Supply Chain Cross Border Exports at Sasol is crucial for the seamless execution of international trade operations. This role involves meticulous coordination of the entire cross-border sales order cycle, ensuring full compliance with complex shipping, Customs and Excise, and Port regulations. The Administrator acts as a central point of contact, liaising with internal teams, external service providers, and international customers to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of goods and documentation. Success in this position requires a high degree of accuracy, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a deep understanding of international trade logistics, contributing directly to Sasol's global supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with all requirements in shipping, Customs and Excise, and Port regulations.
- Guarantee full compliance with the Zero Rated VAT act concerning Exchange control and INCO terms employed.
- Utilise SAP 100% for all export processes, requiring specialist SAP export knowledge.
- Maintain a safe working environment by strictly following standards and procedures and complying with all legal/regulatory requirements.
- Possess specialist knowledge of Incoterms, customs and excise documents, Bills of Lading, CTO's, Rules of Origin, and all customs documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all planning and shipping schedules.
- Coordinate the total cross-border sales order cycle for road and rail exports, aiming for 100% On-Time In-Full With Accurate Content (OTIFWAC) on export documents.
- Identify and mitigate export report risks effectively.
- Ensure no missed deliveries and no late export documentation packs.
- Execute exports in accordance with Letter of Credit (LC) and other credit terms and conditions, ensuring 100% compliance and no exports on acceptance.
- Compile accurate clearing and forwarding documents, provide monthly feedback reports, and ensure no audit findings or penalties.
- Maintain an audit trail for all export documentation, ensuring up-to-date and accurate filing and storage of information.
- Deliver final documents to customers within set time limits, achieving 100% OTIFWAC.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions daily, analysing trends.
- Liaise effectively with service providers, local and international customers, and banking institutions to ensure on-time delivery in accordance with credit guarantee guidelines.
- Represent customer service by aligning new customer orders with requirements, managing stock alignment, credit releases, follow-ups, tracking information dissemination, and query resolution for a positive customer experience.
- Manage relationships with service providers and customers effectively.
- Adhere to all safety, road, rail, and export regulations, preventing penalties and findings.
- Perform regular data clean-up exercises and updates on SAP, including regular testing, to ensure clean and up-to-date information and SAP functionality.

Requirements
- 4-5 Years Cross Border Export experience
- Specialist Knowledge of SAP Export process and common export practices
- Specialist knowledge on export documents requirements and customs clearance procedures in Africa and BLNE destinations
- Minimum Grade 12
- Certificate in Exports or Clearing and Forwarding would be an advantage
