An SSD Custodian at FNB / FirstRand plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and security of self-service devices (SSD) such as ATMs and ADTs within the banking network. This position demands a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of cash management processes, adherence to stringent security protocols, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The incumbent is responsible for the physical management of cash and devices, ensuring accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and maintaining high operational standards to support the bank's front-end services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service through adherence to quality service standards, ensuring all interactions and operations meet FNB's high benchmarks.
• Comply with relevant statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements, strictly adhering to processes and procedures related to cash and ATM/ADT custodianship.
• Ensure operational excellence through the delivery of work processes according to defined quality standards, maintaining efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.
• Load, maintain, and replenish ATM/ADT devices, taking full custodianship of several devices and undertaking routine checks and maintenance.
• Reduce PULA value of ATM/ADT differences, actively working to minimize absolute net shortages and surpluses as reflected on the General Ledger of the business unit.
• Achieve Balanced Scorecard Profit results for the Self Service Devices as per the Business Scorecard Objectives, contributing to the financial performance of the unit.
• Ensure cost controls within budget requirements, effectively managing expenses such as cell phone bills and tool of trade vehicle costs, and controlling overtime targets.
• Achieve the delivery of exceptional customer service by providing first-line support and after-hours support on a 7-day standby week, adhering to required Service Level Agreements.
• Monitor Self Service Devices availability, measured by means of ATM/ADT reports, and strive to achieve a benchmark of 98% uptime.
