Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service: Assist shoppers in finding desired goods and products, offer product information, and efficiently attend to customer queries and complaints to ensure a great shopping experience.
• Cashier duties: Accurately process various payment methods including cash and card payments, manage Lay-Bys, handle customer refunds, report any discrepancies or problems to the supervisor, and ensure accurate till balancing at the end of shifts.
• Merchandising: Ensure that all stock is correctly priced and displayed according to company standards, maintain optimal product availability on the sales floor, perform general housekeeping duties to keep the store tidy and appealing, and stay informed about current promotions to assist customers effectively.
• Risk management: Ensure that all products are tagged in line with company policy, actively participate in stock takes, remain vigilant for potential shoplifters and fraudulent activities, and promptly report any suspicious behaviour to management to mitigate losses.
• Adherence to values and policies: Consistently embody and live the Ackermans values, policies, and procedures in all aspects of your work, contributing to a professional and ethical work environment.
