Job Description
Siemens Energy is seeking ambitious and high-performing graduates to join their prestigious three-year SAICA CA Trainee Programme based in Midrand, South Africa. This structured training contract provides an exceptional foundation for aspiring Chartered Accountants who have successfully completed an accredited postgraduate qualification in Accounting (PGDip/CTA). Trainees will be trained and rigorously assessed in alignment with the progressive SAICA CA2025 competency framework, which fosters ethical values, critical professional competence, and technical mastery. Throughout the programme, candidates will complete comprehensive rotations across key corporate functions such as tax, risk, internal audit, controlling, and commercial business units, providing balanced exposure to both theoretical and practical dimensions of multinational financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and consolidate comprehensive balance sheet and profit and loss statements in accordance with relevant international accounting standards including IFRS and GAAP.
Prepare in-depth financial reports and management accounts for corporate divisions and key support functions.
Analyse, evaluate, and monitor corporate assets and liabilities to ensure rigorous balance sheet integrity.
Prepare statutory annual financial statements for diverse business entities and regional operating branches.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and clients, to reconcile complex accounts.
Maintain an active understanding of emerging accounting regulations, update published company guidelines, and conduct technical training.
Investigate complex project accounting queries and provide sound technical guidance to commercial units across Africa.
Assist with corporate budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and data capturing into enterprise systems like Spiridon and ESPRIT.
Draft technical accounting position papers on complex business transactions and standard interpretations.
Fulfill all SAICA professional and technical development deliverables consistently throughout the three-year training contract.
