Sanlam is offering a valuable REMS Consultant Internship Programme 2026 / 2027 opportunity based in Cape Town, South Africa. This programme is designed for youth development and provides a platform for individuals to gain practical experience in the financial services sector. The intern will be instrumental in managing correspondence, administrative tasks, and ad-hoc duties related to Contracting, Remuneration, Funds, Schemes, Commissions, and Replacements. The role demands a commitment to delivering professional and effective services to SanlamConnect intermediaries and other life companies, ensuring all tasks are completed within expected quality standards and timelines, adhering strictly to business and legislative requirements.
The position requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, often under demanding conditions. Key Responsibilities
Handling of general and ad-hoc requests from the team and intermediaries.
Receiving and forwarding of Replacements forms to advisors and brokers.
Assisting with the distribution of work received by hand.
Performing filing and scanning duties.
Conducting data verification and entry of transactions.
Assisting with journal reconciliations.
Ensuring tasks are managed within the required Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Handling requests and enquiries originating from clients or systems via telephonic and written communication.
Processing transactions in line with policy, business rules, and relevant legislation.
Processing transactions that may have a financial impact.
Liaising directly with SanlamConnect staff, external partners, and institutions.

Requirements
Grade 12
Must have completed and be in possession of a 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Commerce / Finance.
Successful candidate should be unemployed.
Preferably no or very limited previous working experience.
