Key Responsibilities
- Gaining specific risk experience within a variety of Business Groups across the FirstRand Group, including retail, corporate, and investment banking.
- Participating actively in a two-year Quant and Analytics Graduate programme, embracing practical and immersive exposure to the financial services sector.
- Engaging in diverse and challenging assignments designed to provide broad experience across all of the group’s businesses, fostering a holistic understanding.
- Undergoing psychometric assessments and interviews if shortlisted, demonstrating analytical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
- Providing required supporting documents in a single PDF: motivational letter, CV, South African ID, Grade 12 Certificate, and undergraduate transcript.
- Developing and implementing quantitative models for risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management.
- Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic business decisions.
- Collaborating with senior quants and business stakeholders to translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations.

Requirements
- Must be studying a postgraduate qualification (NQF 8 or above) in Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or Engineering.
