Babylonstoren is offering an exciting Quality Assurance Internship for a recent graduate or an individual with up to one year of experience in food quality and manufacturing. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a renowned agricultural and hospitality estate, contributing to the maintenance of high food safety and quality standards across various product lines, including RTE, meat, olives, tea, water, and nut products. The intern will be instrumental in supporting critical quality control processes, from documentation and record-keeping to assisting with corrective actions and internal audits. Key Responsibilities
- Manage document control and ensure accurate record keeping for all quality assurance processes.
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address quality deviations.
- Support the Quality Assurance team in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Aid in the effective implementation and continuous monitoring of Prerequisite Programmes (PRPs) and HACCP systems.
- Drive and maintain high hygiene standards and services within the various factory environments.
- Assist in the development and delivery of food safety training programmes for staff.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality specifications and food safety protocols.
- Participate in quality investigations and root cause analysis for non-conformances.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality management systems.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety rules and regulations.

Requirements
- Degree in Food Science or a related field
- Recent graduate or up to one year’s experience in food quality and manufacturing
- Knowledge of RTE, meat, olives, tea, water and/or nut products
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong planning, organisational and execution skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Commitment to complying with all safety rules and regulations
- Must be able to climb stairs and move comfortably between processing areas
