Production Planner Opportunity at Barloworld Equipment

A Production Planner at Barloworld Equipment's BRC (Barloworld Remanufacturing Centre) is a critical role responsible for orchestrating the efficient flow of components through disassembly, assembly, and testing processes. This position requires a highly organized and proactive individual with a deep understanding of production methodologies and a commitment to achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Work-In-Progress (WIP), planning adherence, and on-time delivery. The Production Planner ensures that all stages of the remanufacturing process are meticulously scheduled and executed, minimizing delays and maximizing output quality. This role is integral to maintaining customer satisfaction and operational excellence within the BRC.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and prioritizing of components for disassembly and assembly, ensuring optimal resource allocation and workflow.
• Assist with the achievement of BRC key KPI’s, including managing Work-In-Progress (WIP) levels, ensuring planning adherence, and meeting on-time delivery targets.
• Resolve internal and external BWE customer queries promptly and effectively, maintaining strong communication channels.
• Issuing of a job schedule to disassembly, assembly, and testing bay in the BRC, providing clear instructions and timelines.
• Ensure that turnaround times (TAT) on components are achieved, proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays.
• Determination and scheduling of Key dates in completion, including expected and promised delivery dates, to manage customer expectations and production timelines.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate unforeseen challenges or changes in demand.
• Collaborate with various departments, including logistics, engineering, and quality control, to ensure a cohesive and efficient production process.
• Implement and adhere to safety standards and quality control procedures throughout the planning and production stages.
• Utilize planning software and tools to optimize scheduling and resource utilization, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
