Policy Research Internship at Democratic Alliance

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute significantly to the research, consultation, writing, and presentation of DA policy documents and position papers.
• Actively work towards giving practical effect to the DA’s vision of an Open Opportunity Society for All, upholding the party's core values, principles, and ideals.
• Understand and apply the Party’s overarching strategy as it relates to the DA’s comprehensive policy programme.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and synthesis of complex qualitative and quantitative information to inform policy positions.
• Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations for various internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in policy discussions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
• Monitor and analyse current affairs, legislative developments, and socio-economic trends relevant to the party's policy agenda.
• Support senior researchers and policy advisors in various ad-hoc tasks and projects.

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in social sciences, public policy, law, or economics.
• Research experience (advantageous).
