Job Description
Syntech Distribution is currently seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic PC Assembly Technician to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, the successful candidate will play an essential part in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting custom-built desktop computers, gaming rigs, mini-PCs, and component upgrade kits. Key Responsibilities
Accurately assemble desktop computers, mini-PCs, and custom upgrade kits strictly aligned with PCBuilder quality standards.
Perform meticulous cable management and integrate advanced hardware components, including AIO water cooling systems inside high-performance gaming desktops.
Conduct thorough hardware diagnostics, testing procedures, and operating system installations to guarantee optimal build functionality.
Identify, document, and report hardware incompatibilities, defective components, and build faults directly to the Assembly Manager.
Maintain high production efficiency to ensure all customer systems are assembled, benchmarked, and finalized within strict turnaround schedules.
Ensure a clean, organized, and static-safe workshop environment to protect sensitive technical equipment.

Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent National Senior Certificate.
CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent IT hardware qualification.
Solid knowledge of modern IT products, PC hardware components, and gaming hardware.
Practical familiarity with operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Android.
Demonstrated ability in clean cable management and meticulous hardware installation.
Strong problem-solving, fault-finding, and diagnostic skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain standing for extended periods in an active assembly workshop.
