Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Risk and Compliance team with daily operational tasks, administrative support, and compliance tracking routines.

• Support the coordination and execution of statutory health and safety inspections, hazard identification protocols, and risk assessments.

• Maintain and update comprehensive safety registers, accident records, audit findings, and incident management logs.

• Participate in emergency preparedness planning, evacuation drills, safety committee meetings, and first aid replenishment inspections.

• Collaborate with internal facilities personnel and appointed health and safety representatives to cultivate an organizational safety-first mindset.

• Help draft professional safety communication notices, training materials, and regulatory compliance reports.

• Ensure all workplace safety documentation aligns strictly with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company risk policies.

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent qualification

• National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years

• Currently unemployed for at least the past two months

• No prior participation in an INSETA-funded internship programme

• No prior formal work experience required
