Job Description
Meridian Services is seeking motivated and eager individuals to join their team as IT Interns. This 18-month workplace experience programme is designed for unemployed TVET graduates who have successfully completed an N6 Certificate and are looking to gain practical experience to obtain their National N Diploma. The internship offers invaluable hands-on exposure to critical areas within the IT sector, including IT support, systems administration, and business technology operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about technology to kick-start their careers in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line IT support to end-users, addressing technical queries and issues promptly.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of hardware and software components.
Support the troubleshooting of computer systems, printers, and network-related problems to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain accurate IT records, including asset registers and essential documentation for IT infrastructure.
Assist with user account administration, managing access rights and performing system updates as required.
Support the broader IT team with daily operational tasks and contribute to ongoing projects.
Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and information security standards to protect company data.
Perform general IT administrative duties and provide technical support to enhance overall IT efficiency.

Requirements
Aged between 18 and 28 years.
Completed N6 TVET Certificate.
Unemployed and require workplace experience to obtain a National N Diploma.
Valid driver's licence is advantageous but not required.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer literacy and technical knowledge.
Willingness to learn and work in a professional environment.
Fields of Study: Information Technology, Information Technology (Technical Support), Information Technology (Systems Development), Computer Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Network Management.
