Human Resources Graduate Internship at Premier
Job Description
Premier is offering a 12-month Graduate programme in Human Resources, based at their Durban site and supporting the KZN region. This internship provides a comprehensive learning experience, exposing the successful incumbent to various facets of HR operations and strategic initiatives. The role reports to the Regional HRM and will involve supporting the National Human Resources structure in project rollouts and tasks. There may be opportunities for travel to other sites to gain exposure across all business units, fostering a holistic understanding of the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for HR Operations and systems, including Payspace, HR, and Graylink.
Gain practical understanding and application of HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, employee movement, terminations, and disability management.
Assist with the administration and systems related to Learning and Development, including Moodle and Payspace HR.
Support the understanding and application of processes within key HR disciplines: Learning and Development, Talent/Skills Development, Organisational Development, and Industrial Relations.
Assist in the rollout of specific HR projects and tasks at both regional and national levels.
Conduct administrative duties as required to support the HR department.
Contribute to the effective functioning of the HR department by ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely task completion.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on HR best practices and operational improvements.
Develop proficiency in using HR software and tools to manage employee data and processes.
Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Regional HRM or National HR structure.

Requirements
Grade 12
Degree in Human Resources Management
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Ability to adapt to change and respond effectively to new challenges
Resilience in coping with pressures and setbacks
Strong results orientation and a drive to achieve objectives
Excellent analytical thinking skills
Effective time management and deadline-oriented approach
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with open communication skills
High attention to detail
Capacity to critically evaluate information, particularly numerical data
Strong learning aptitude and a willingness to acquire new skills
A driver's license is advantageous
