Discovery Health is seeking a motivated and dedicated Work Integrated Learner - HR Intern to join their high-performing Performance Services Department. In this dynamic entry-level human resources opportunity, the successful candidate will gain valuable practical workplace experience supporting day-to-day HR administration, recruitment processes, record management, and project execution. This internship is specifically designed for ambitious TVET graduates who require an 18-month practical placement to complete their National Diploma in Human Resources Management.
As an HR intern, you will play an essential role within the human capital team, acting as an ambassador for Discovery Health Performance Services. You will collaborate with experienced HR practitioners, sharpen your administrative competencies, handle sensitive data with the utmost confidentiality, and develop foundational skills essential for a long-term, successful career in corporate Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive HR administration support across the Performance Services business unit.
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment administration, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.
Perform accurate and efficient data capturing on internal HR systems and generate regular reporting metrics.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems in accordance with compliance and data protection guidelines.
Provide active support with departmental project administration and process improvement initiatives.
Work systematically and methodically under strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Serve as a professional brand ambassador representing Discovery Health values and service excellence.

Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric with a minimum of 50% in English.
Completed N4, N5, and N6 TVET Human Resources Management qualification within the last 18 months.
Compulsory official letter from the TVET institution requesting 18 months of practical workplace experience.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
No prior formal work experience required.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities with exceptional interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential HR data.
Demonstrated ability to work methodically under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
