This essential role involves the safe and timely transportation of heavy-duty vehicle parts to various destinations, including outside suppliers, other branches, and directly to customers. As a Heavy Duty Driver, you will be a critical link in the supply chain, ensuring that parts are delivered in excellent condition, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the operational efficiency of the dealership. This position requires a strong commitment to road safety, meticulous attention to detail in vehicle maintenance checks, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both internal staff and external clients. Key Responsibilities

• Execute all driving duties with the utmost professionalism and adherence to traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Deliver heavy-duty parts to a diverse range of destinations, including external suppliers, other Motus branches, and directly to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify any defects, damages, or missing parts, and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and securely locked when not in use.
• Promptly report all accidents, traffic offences, and vehicle incidents to the supervisor, following established company procedures.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department to support overall operational goals.
• Collect parts from other branches, customers, and outside suppliers, verifying quantities and condition upon collection.
• Ensure that the condition of all parts is maintained at all times during transit, preventing any damage through careful handling and secure loading.
• Provide assistance and excellent customer service to clients during parts deliveries, representing Motus Daimler Trucks professionally.
• Verify that all delivery vehicles are locked and that keys are securely stored in the designated key box or at reception.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime when required to meet operational demands and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation, ensuring all paperwork is completed clearly and precisely.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to vehicle operation, safety, and customer service.
• Collaborate effectively with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customer service teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Manage time efficiently to optimize delivery routes and schedules, contributing to cost-effectiveness and prompt service.
