Job Description
Byte Code Developers, a growing telecommunications deployment company, is looking for motivated graduate or intern Network Technicians to join their expanding infrastructure deployment teams in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
This opportunity is perfect for recent IT, Computer Networking, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering graduates who want to move beyond the classroom and gain real, hands-on experience in live network infrastructure projects. You will work directly alongside seasoned engineers and technicians on active deployments across South Africa — covering network rollouts, data centre installations, fibre cabling, and telecommunications infrastructure upgrades at multiple sites nationwide.
From day one you will receive structured hands-on training in industry-standard practices including fibre and Ethernet cabling, data centre installation standards, and telecommunications deployment procedures. This role provides a clear career pathway into telecommunications, networking, and infrastructure deployment engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with network equipment installation and configuration across project sites
Support data centre and telecommunications infrastructure deployments
Perform Ethernet and fibre optic cabling, labelling, and cable management
Assist with network testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting
Follow health, safety, and site access procedures at all times
Assist with project documentation and site reporting

Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, OSI model)
Willingness to travel to project sites across South Africa
Ability to work in technical, on-site environments and adhere to safety procedures
Strong willingness to learn and take initiative
Advantageous / Beneficial
Industry certifications: CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Fibre Optic or Cabling Certifications
Practical networking lab or hands-on cabling experience
Valid Driver's License (highly beneficial)
Prior experience with hardware installations or structured cabling
