The Data and Infrastructure Engineer role is crucial for organizing, collecting, processing, and storing data from various sources. This position involves transforming raw, unstructured data into usable formats for analysis, including the design of architectures such as databases, servers, and large-scale processing systems. The engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, management, maintenance, and support of the organization’s cloud computing environment, including supporting applications on any company-supported cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support throughout the Sales and Product and Service Delivery process.
Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
Act as a focal point for gathering system requirements from application architects and owners to ensure seamless transformation and loading of data across different cloud vendors.
Responsible for Data loading, data migration, and data retrieval.
Serve as a customer advisor on data governance, policies, roles, and data flow.
Responsible for assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
Perform data mapping and data quality control for one to multiple data sources.
Conduct assessments of the company's data and infrastructure environment, proposing improvements and recommendations.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including data and design teams, assisting them with data-related technical issues.
Utilize API knowledge to design RESTful services and integrate them with existing data providers using JSON or XML.
Maintain existing company databases with a working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores.
Responsible for debugging technical issues within a complex stack involving virtualization, containers, microservices, etc.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure digital applications run correctly and efficiently on cloud infrastructure.
Work with OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Rackspace, Docker, and Microsoft Azure as applicable.
Handle incoming incidents and change requests as a first-line support.
Responsible for the operation, design development, testing, and implementation of infrastructure systems and hardware with automation in mind.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on all activities.
Responsible for installing and configuring IOT Agora solutions, including infrastructure, network setup, and SDK implementation.
Maintain and support existing on-premises applications from licensing, installation, and configuration perspectives.
Responsible for gathering/developing experience working on OSDU community code and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) workflows.

Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
0–2 years' relevant experience, including internships, industrial attachments, academic projects, or graduate trainee programs.
Basic understanding of cloud computing technologies.
Knowledge of SQL databases and data management concepts.
Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C#.
Understanding of APIs, REST services, JSON, and XML.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience gained through internships, university projects, hackathons, or research initiatives related to cloud, data, or infrastructure engineering.
Exposure to data engineering and infrastructure support.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
