GRA Clerk Opportunity at Absolute Pets

As a GRA Clerk at Absolute Pets, you will be an essential part of the logistics and inventory management team, operating from the Gauteng Warehouse in Kempton Park. This role is critical for maintaining accurate stock records, managing inter-branch transfers (IBTs), and ensuring the smooth flow of products within South Africa's leading pet retailer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations and customer satisfaction by meticulously handling stock movements and resolving discrepancies. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment, contributing directly to the operational success of Absolute Pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing of all incoming IBT's from stores – Driver debrief ensuring all relevant documents are correct and all stock returned is assigned to a person with a reason.
• Monitoring of all outgoing IBT's to stores and alert management when there are IBT's older than the agreed ageing.
• Ensure all IBT's are kept current. (None older than 48 hours).
• Immediately investigate any short delivery/over delivery – This must be done as the drivers report on the group daily.
• Utilize Fleetcam to check for any delivery inconsistencies and for IBT discrepancy investigations.
• Flag issues relating to system, store non-compliance and warehouse issues that contribute to the increase in IBTs.
• Record damages coming from trucks accurately.
• Prepare reports for management on IBT status and discrepancies.
• Clear Think time tickets daily to maintain system efficiency.
• Ensure that all good incoming stock is put back to stock after correct processing through the system.
• Daily handover to inventory of IBT's that requires write off – damage and/or expired stock.
• Allocate the IBT returned stock to the relevant assigned bins on system.
• Collaborating with warehouse staff and store managers to resolve stock-related issues promptly.
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy in all administrative tasks to prevent stock loss and ensure inventory integrity.
