Key Responsibilities

• Actively assist the Finance team with a wide array of daily financial operations, including meticulous data entry, comprehensive record-keeping, and efficient document management to ensure operational smoothness.
• Provide crucial support in the preparation of detailed financial reports, accurate statements, and thorough reconciliations, ensuring absolute accuracy and strict compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.
• Participate actively in critical month-end and year-end closing procedures, gaining invaluable practical knowledge about accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and the overall financial closing cycle.
• Assist with the preparation of departmental budgets and conduct insightful variance analysis, offering valuable insights into financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Contribute significantly to the monitoring and enforcement of robust financial controls and ensure unwavering compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Learn to proficiently use and apply various accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems commonly utilised within the automotive retail sector, enhancing technical proficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with different internal departments, such as sales, service, and parts, to gather necessary financial information and support informed operational decision-making across the dealership.
• Undertake a variety of ad-hoc finance-related projects and administrative tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.
