Job Description
Absolute Pets, a leading Pet Care Retailer, is seeking a dedicated and versatile Finance Clerk to join their dynamic finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual with 1-3 years of experience to become an all-rounder within the finance department, contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes. Key Responsibilities
Creditors Processing and Reconciliation: Accurately process supplier invoices in a timely manner, prepare comprehensive supplier reconciliations, and promptly resolve any discrepancies or queries. Report on account status and diligently follow up on month-end invoices and statements to ensure adherence to critical retail calendar deadlines.
ThinkTime Tickets: Assist with the efficient weekly clearing of ThinkTime tickets to support accurate reporting timelines. This includes reallocating tender errors within IQ, covering both cash and card transactions, and obtaining and validating all necessary documentation for card sales and sundry transactions.
General Finance Support & Administration: Provide essential general finance and administrative support across the department as and when required, ensuring all tasks are completed with precision and efficiency.

Requirements
1 to 3 years’ experience in a finance role
Diploma in Bookkeeping or equivalent
Strong accounting knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft suite
Good Excel skills with the ability to use VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, suppliers, and landlords.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, deadline driven, and trustworthy.
A respectful team player who is self-motivated and willing to support others.
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to take on challenges, solve problems, and learn new skills.
