Experienced Baker Position at Pick n Pay

Pick n Pay is seeking a dedicated and skilled Baker to join its dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake products according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste and appearance.
• Merchandise and display products attractively according to laid down standards, maintaining freshness and visual appeal to entice customers.
• Maintain impeccable hygiene, housekeeping, and safety working standards within both the baking area and back-up storage areas, adhering strictly to food safety regulations.
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures to prevent loss and ensure a safe working environment for all staff and customers.
• Operate and clean all bakery equipment according to laid down standards, ensuring longevity and optimal performance of machinery.
• Maintain equipment by regularly inspecting for faults and reporting any defective machinery or utensils to the Bakery Manager promptly for repair or replacement.
• Complete relevant administration documentation accurately, such as production sheets and customer orders, to ensure efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Completes tasks fully to high standards, demonstrating a commitment to quality and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
• Contribute to a positive team environment, assisting colleagues as needed and fostering a collaborative spirit within the bakery department.
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and finished products, communicating needs to management to prevent shortages and waste.
