Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct dispatching of parcels, meticulously verifying order details against physical items to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Analyze and clear all production reports, proactively resolving discrepancies to facilitate a smooth flow of production from replenishment to the confirmation tables. This involves a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills to maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor aging tasks on the system and ensure their swift resolution, preventing bottlenecks and delays in the dispatch process.
• Ensure that all client orders meet established lead times and fulfilment requirements, upholding Takealot's commitment to timely delivery.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries in conjunction with the customer services department and other relevant stakeholders, providing effective solutions and maintaining positive customer relations.
• Identify parcels that are incorrectly packaged and coordinate their repacking with outsourced service providers, ensuring product safety and presentation standards.
• Physically monitor the floor to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are consistently followed at confirmation tables, promoting accuracy and efficiency.
• Report challenges that might hamper production throughput timeously, contributing to proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Conduct random quality checks on parcels sent to dispatch, verifying correct item packing, appropriate packaging, and accurate weighing according to SOPs and Service Level Agreements.
• Check exception reports and provide comprehensive feedback to all key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability in the dispatch process.
• Scan parcels and identify any discrepancies between internal information and that of courier companies, resolving issues before shipment.
• Perform reconciliations of stock take, contributing to accurate inventory management.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices, fostering a safe working environment for all team members.
• Identify, analyze, and report on opportunities for growth, improved efficiencies, and achievements within the dispatch operations.
• Ensure effective customer relations management, making appropriate changes to continually improve customer service and addressing any escalated or long-standing problems.
