Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Respond efficiently, accurately, and courteously to all customer service matters, complaints, and requests across various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions. This involves active listening, empathetic communication, and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve client issues, ensuring a positive and seamless banking experience.
- Process Adherence and Improvement: Support the development and maintenance of robust processes within the Customer Services Centre. Adhere strictly to all established procedures and protocols, while also proactively identifying opportunities to improve client servicing processes, enhance efficiency, and streamline operations for better customer outcomes.
- Risk Monitoring and Control: Monitor and control risks associated with customer interactions and data. Ensure that all activities performed in providing Customer Services comply in all respects with Absa's stringent risk and compliance policies and procedures, as well as all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including FICA and POPIA. This includes vigilant fraud prevention and data security practices.
- Effective Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders. This involves collaborating effectively with various departments such as sales, operations, legal, and product teams to resolve complex client issues, share insights, and ensure a coordinated approach to client servicing.
- Continuous Self-Development: Take ownership and be proactive about your own training and development. Actively participate in learning initiatives, stay abreast of new Absa products, services, and industry trends, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge to better serve clients and advance your career.
