Job Description
Absa is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Credit Control Administrator to join its dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of debtor accounts and maintaining the financial health of the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of credit control activities, from producing detailed reports to liaising with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting month-end financial processes. Key Responsibilities
- Manage debtor accounts comprehensively and conduct thorough ageing analysis.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly debtors reports for management review.
- Maintain precise credit records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant.
- Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, finance teams, and external clients.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAIS, FICA, and all relevant company policies.
- Assist with critical month-end financial processes and support audit preparations.
Technical Skills
- Possess strong knowledge of accounts receivable and credit control principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting.
- Experienced with various accounting and insurance systems.
- Demonstrate strong financial reconciliation skills.
- Ability to analyse debtor trends and proactively identify potential risks.

Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- FAIS & RE (advantageous)
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Credit Management, Business Administration, or related field (advantageous)
- Credit Management qualification (advantageous)
- 3 to 5 years' experience in credit control, debt collection, or accounts receivable
- Experience within the insurance industry, particularly short-term insurance, preferred
- Experience working with insurance administration and financial systems
