Key Responsibilities
Render Acquisition clerical support, including updating and maintaining a supplier database.
Register suppliers on the Supply Chain (Logis) System and receive/request quotations.
Capture specifications on the electronic purchasing system and issue/receive bid documents.
Provide secretariat or logistical support during bid consideration and contract conclusion processes.
Place orders for goods, receive and verify goods from suppliers, and capture them in the register database.
Maintain a goods register and update the register of suppliers.
Render Assets Management clerical support, including compiling and maintaining asset records/databases.
Check and issue furniture, equipment, and stationery to business units.
Identify redundant, non-serviceable, and obsolete equipment for disposal.
Assist in conducting stock taking according to the stock taking plan and verify the asset register.
Render financial accounting transactions, including receiving, checking, and processing invoices for payment.
Perform salary administration support services, including processing salary advices, bonuses, and adjustments.
File financial documents accurately and perform bookkeeping support services.
Capture all financial transactions, clear suspense accounts, and record debtors and creditors.
Process electronic banking transactions and compile journals.
Perform activities related to improving the control environment of payments for completeness and accuracy.
Develop, update, and maintain an effective filing system/system control for the Directorate.

Requirements
Grade 12/ Senior Certificate or equivalent.
No experience required.
Basic knowledge of supply chain duties, practices, and ability to capture data.
Ability to operate a computer and collect statistics.
Basic knowledge of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
Basic knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment.
