Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment at all times, ensuring the till point is tidy and presentable.
- Accurately process customer transactions, including scanning items, handling cash, card payments, and other payment methods.
- Upsell products and services where appropriate, informing customers about promotions, loyalty programs, and special offers.
- Efficiently resolve customer complaints and queries in a courteous and professional manner, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing friendly, efficient, and helpful service.
- Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages by carefully handling products and adhering to company policies.
- Maintain strict hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to and maintain security procedures to protect company assets and ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
- Operate and clean equipment, such as till systems and card machines, according to laid down standards and operational guidelines.
- Interact positively with customers, responding to their queries and providing assistance with product location or information.
- Assist with stock rotation and merchandising as required, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and products are displayed attractively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain a cohesive work environment.
